Plot Chapter One
.......... The year is 1957 and the reconstruction of the Lowerclassmen dorms has begun. The scent of smoke is still fresh in the air and the carpenters are forced to wear masks to keep from inhaling ash. Drywalling is already up thanks to the magically gifted workers (who else could be trusted to keep the secret of the academy?) and it seems like the school may reopen for a new semester sooner than the Headmaster and Deputy had thought. Of course, the school with be much different than it was before, even more than anyone knew...
.......... Many, many years ago, a boy had applied to the The-All-Boys Hollowed Oak Academy and was rejected, hardly a rare occasion. The school was not as large as it is now and there were not enough staff members to teach a large group of boys, so many, many applications were rejected. It didn't seem like an odd event to the Headmaster, who didn't believe that the boy had a powerful enough gift to need instruction on controlling it. All he could do was change his hair color along with his moods, which is very small compared to the elaborate powers being harvested at the academy. .......... But this boy really did need to control his powers, for he was plagued with elaborate mood swings, and if he remained uable to, his powers would, and did, evolve into worse things. First, it was just that his eyes changed along with his hair, then his skin tone, then his height, then, even his features. He was labeled as a freak and sent off to live in a remote village in the middle of a far off forest. While in the village, the now-teenage boy met another rejected individual like himself. She did not even have a chance to apply to the academy, and hated the headmaster for his discrimination. The two married and passed down their hatred of Hollowed Oak generation to generation. By the time of the fire, the family had returned to the town near Hollowed Oak and had an evil plan finally perfected...
