Name: Matilda Ann Murphy Nickname: Mat
Age: 16
Gender: female
Year: 5
Gift: Mat can control gravity. In other words she could make a feather feel like it weighs more than a boulder. Or make someone's head have such a gravitational pull that they are stuck in a head stand. That would be what she could do, if she could control her powers. And even after a few years at the school she still has trouble working with her power. Still cool though.
Personality: Shy is not a word that could describe Mat at ALL. She can be loud, obnoxious, and down right annoying. But the key word there is 'can', yes it is possible for her to be like that but mostly she is talkative and happy. Though seriousness is something Mat is often. She is mostly a carefree person; not really wanting to do anything hard, or anything that takes labor. In other words lazy. Although she is a fighter if her or one of her friends is insulted. So that is mostly was makes up Mat, talkative, lazy, carefree, loving, and last of all menacing, you know? Because of her eye?
Physical Description: Being a six foot sixteen year old girl is as awkward as someone would think. Towering almost anyone was a funny and of course awkward thing to Mat. She enjoyed being able to look down on everyone. It was fun. Her hair draped down to her mid back. It was naturally jet black and every now and then Mat would change her hair style and color, right now it is black and all one length, next week it could be layered and hot pink. Anything could happen. Her eyes, not her height, made people look twice. Her left eye was relatively normal; crystal blue. Her right eye, however, was jet black, like her hair. Every inch of the eye was solid black, the reason was unknown, she could even see out of it. But it had always been black. It probably always will be black too.

Brief History: When Mat was about five years old, her mother gave birth to her little sister. But there were complications and Mat's Mother, Donna, died in the child birth. Though the little girl, Rachel, survived. Mat's father, Mark, was devastated about this because he loved his wife so very much. He felt like half of himself was missing. Despite having two little girls, he fell into a depression and he killed himself by poison. Mat, now seven and Rachel, now two, were sent to live with their aunt, their mothers sister. They got along with her and their cousins Jason and Mike. At aged eleven Mat started showing signs of having powers by making small things weigh twenty to thirty pounds by accident. They put in an application to Hallowed Oak, and the rest is history.
Roleplay Example: The black glove crashed down on an open palm for the millionth time. Her jaw repeatedly smashed up and down as she worked on a piece of gum. An ocean of black hair cascaded down a skinny frame, centering on piercing round marble crystal clear water blue eyes. A thin nose underneath, and thin peach lips.
Norali was bored. And where was she? The hospital no less. Why was she there? To recruit of course! This class five shadow was maybe one of the top twenty shadows in bringing in fresh shadows. And what better place to find those willing to keep surviving? You guessed it; the hospital.
Norali pocketed her black gloves in her black trench coat and pulled it around her, tucking her hands into the pockets she was a five foot and eleven inch wave of blackness. She marched up to the counter, putting on her best sincere face. She asked the unit secretary behind the desk," I just saw my niece get wheeled through here. A little girl. What room was she sent too?" She asked, tears forming in her eyes. The woman touched her heart then rolled her chair to her computer, typed in something and told her the room.
Norali thanked the woman and left with a swish of her coat, grinning evilly when she had her back turned.
At the door to the room, she saw the doctor and whispered in his ear and stood beside him, with a devious look on her face, looking at the little girl. It almost made her laugh. Insignificant child! Norali couldn't wait until she had stolen her soul.
